RDI network in artificial intelligence goal is to provide the Catalan AI ecosystem with technological transfer mechanisms and knowledge valorization. Initially, the network is made up of more than 300 researchers, who are part of 28 research groups from 16 Catalan institutions in the field of AI. The RDI-IA Network coordinated by the Computer Vision Center and funded by the Department of Business and Knowledge of the Generalitat de Catalunya

Through the mechanisms of the RDI-IA Network, it is intended to generate a greater economic and social return to the Catalan industrial fabric, increasing the number of technology-based companies and increasing the generation of highly qualified jobs. In addition, the Network also aims to consolidate the Catalan AI ecosystem, with the vision of positioning it as a research and innovation hub in the south of Europe, articulating the interaction between scientific actors and weaving ties with the business sector , generating socio-economic impact.
